Paris is looking fantastic and the new Notre Dame cathedral has just be reopened. Why not check it it out for yourself? Airfares are generally less from January through March, especially if your flight days fall on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
Rome is celebrating a Jubilee year, which only happens once every two decades or so. The city (and Vatican) spent nearly all of 2024 repairing, polishing, and sprucing-up seemingly everything so why not go and see the Eternal City in all of its glory?

Many of our readers have had questions regarding the new ETIAS application approval that will be needed to enter most European countries. It will now begin sometime in mid-2025, so most travelers can relax and take a much-needed breath.

An ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is now required to enter the entire United Kingdom starting in January 2025. Apply online for entry and pay the fee of £10 (good for two years) at least one week in advance of your travels –and be approved- or you will not be allowed to board your international flight. This ETA visa-waiver (as it is called) is required in addition to a current, valid passport. Babies and children are not exempt from this application process and fee!
