Some of the important transport info in our Clued In Paris book is suddenly “old news” as Paris incurs new price hikes and ways to buy train tickets! Because of this we are currently republishing both the ebook and print editions to reflect the changes. (For instance on the Métro, those famous little white carnet tickets are being phased out right now at most stations in favor of a new, reusable pass card called NavigoEasy.) While most websites are being super-positive and touting how perfect everything will be on your winter sojourn, we are telling it like it is. Our Clued In cities are all fun and festive before and after December 25, but what can a visitor expect on Christmas Day? Will they even be able to get something to eat? Well, that all depends on which city you’ll be in. So if you will be away for the holiday and want to know more, just visit our city-extras pages at the menu bar above and get a better idea of what to expect. We hope everyone has a safe, stress-free journey to their destination. If you’re staying put and actually hosting a Thanksgiving dinner, just remember that it’s just like cooking a chicken dinner except that the chicken is really big. If you have booked train travel on the days of October 1, 2, 5, 7, or 8 (2022) you may experience disruptions due to a possible drivers/conductors strike.
